I compose for film, dance, installations, and standalone musical projects. Regardless of the medium, my aim is always to create work that feels alive and responsive to movement within an evolving narrative.
Whether collaborating with choreographers, directors, or visual artists, I invite shared exploration and play.
The relationship between music and movement is a fascination of mine. Entering the music industry from a career as a dancer, I’m drawn to the moment when sound meets a moving image and how the organisation of sound can reveal new meanings within a visual moment.
I am inspired by the shifting sonic landscape, both within art but also within the environments around me which are under constant change. As a person of mixed Japanese, British, and Danish heritage, my creative identity has been shaped by this blend of cultures, each influencing the way I perceive and respond to the world.
My practice spans a wide spectrum of genres and I enjoy weaving organic and synthetic elements together, but the electronic genres, with their seemingly unlimited potential for the invention and shaping of sound, remains a central focus.
